Description
CK45 – Bright Bar Grade Introduction:
CK45 Steel Bright Bar is widely used for medium-strength applications, particularly in vehicle manufacturing and machine engineering. This steel is ideal for high-dimensioned, heavily forged parts and intricate forms, such as ship shafts, transmission parts, and wheel hubs. It exhibits good creep behavior up to 480°C and can be used at temperatures as low as -25°C. CK45 is favored for its balance of strength and ductility, making it suitable for a range of engineering applications.

CK45 – Bright Bar Mechanical Properties:
Specific mechanical properties for CK45 Bright Bar, such as tensile strength and elongation, can vary based on the treatment and form.
CK45 – Bright Bar Hardness:
CK45 Bright Bar typically exhibits moderate hardness, which can be enhanced by suitable heat treatments.
CK45 – Bright Bar Heat Treatment:
CK45 steel can be heat treated to improve its mechanical properties, such as hardness and strength. The process involves heating and controlled cooling to achieve desired characteristics.
CK45 – Bright Bar Hardening:
CK45 can be hardened through quenching in water or oil after heating to a temperature range of 820-860°C. This enhances surface hardness, making it suitable for wear-resistant applications.
CK45 – Bright Bar Tempering:
After hardening, CK45 is tempered by heating to 150-200°C and cooling. This process helps to achieve the desired balance of strength, toughness, and ductility.
CK45 – Bright Bar Physical Properties:
The specific physical properties include moderate density and good thermal expansion behavior, contributing to its versatile industrial use.
CK45 – Bright Bar Thermal Properties:
CK45 Bright Bar exhibits stable thermal conductivity and specific heat, making it resistant to deformation under thermal stress.
CK45 – Bright Bar Forging Properties:
CK45 Bright Bar is suitable for forging, with typical forging temperatures ranging from 850-1100°C.
CK45 – Bright Bar Stress Relieving:
Stress relieving of CK45 is performed by heating to 550-650°C, followed by controlled cooling, to minimize residual stresses from previous processing.
CK45 – Bright Bar Normalizing:
Normalizing CK45 involves heating to 870-920°C and air cooling. This process refines the grain structure and enhances toughness.
CK45 – Bright Bar Annealing:
Annealing of CK45 Bright Bar is done by heating the material to 650-700°C and cooling slowly. This enhances machinability and reduces hardness.
CK45 – Bright Bar Density:
The density of CK45 steel is approximately 7.85 g/cm³.
CK45 – Bright Bar Machinability:
CK45 exhibits good machinability in its annealed condition, making it easy to machine into complex forms.
CK45 – Bright Bar Welding:
CK45 Bright Bar has limited weldability due to its carbon content. Preheating and post-weld heat treatment are recommended to prevent cracking and to ensure the integrity of the welded joints.
