Heat Treatment:
- Hardening: Heat to 840-875°C, quench in oil, water, or polymer.
- Tempering: Reheat to 550-700°C, cool in still air.
- Annealing: Heat to 872°C, slowly cool in the furnace.

Forging Properties:
Forging should be performed between 1200°C and 900°C. Slow cooling in oil or water is recommended.

Conventional welding techniques can be used, though welding in the heat-treated condition may affect mechanical properties. Post-weld heat treatment is recommended to restore original strength.
