SCM420 Grade Introduction: SCM420 is an alloy steel known for its high hardenability, temper resistance, good weldability, and machinability. SCM420 Hardness: The typical hardness ranges between 352 and 362 HB.
Heat Treatment: SCM420 undergoes final heat treatment followed by a suitable drawing pass.
Hardening Process:
- 1st Oil Cooling: 850~900℃
- 2nd Oil Cooling: 800~850℃
Tempering: The tempering process is carried out at 150-200℃, followed by air cooling.
