Description
40C8 Grade Overview: 40C8 is a medium carbon steel that contains carbon as the primary alloying element, along with small amounts of silicon (up to 0.4%) and manganese (up to 1.2%). It also contains trace amounts of copper, molybdenum, aluminum, chromium, and nickel. Heat Treatment of 40C8:
